My buddy finally scored on his Mountain Goat!!

He got this guy just a few days ago in the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness area. He is 7.5 years old and about 9" both sides. Don used a 300 WSM in a Winchester Model 70 with a Zeiss Conquest scope. After loading for him for 26 years, he finally started loading his own this year. Used a 180 gr. Accubond and had to shoot his goat three times. I was with him earlier in the season but was not able to make trip. I sure wanted to be there with him. They took fantastic photo's. Enjoy!!

Those pictures are incredible. That looks like some brutal country, especially with the snow. I think I'll stick to September in the mountains.
