Price is plummetting. Amazon has the 550 for $255.99 and the 550T for $299.99. Any opinion on how much more the "T" is worth -- I think that means pre-loaded with topo maps. I saw Cabelas was advertising the 550T for the same price in a flyer.
T is for topo map . Thats a great deal on a great gps. I have the 450 T and it is awesome... the 550 has a camera in it.
i like the 450 T. i cant imagine the cam is that good any way is it? i mean we all will have a decent cam with us on our hunts anyhow, if not the cam on our phones. any input on the cam?
I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and take this device with me on every mission. The advantage of having the camera is as follows: It takes a picture of a memorable location and the gps coordinates of that location as well. When you have to return to that particular place, you simply click on the picture and it will lead you to that spot. Of course we have our military gear and all but I like this for my own use. It would be most helpful in remembering a perfect spot to put your stand. Hope this helps.

I have a 550T and love it. I agree the camera is a great addition.
I used this feature as well and find it great. It works great when you want to send a buddy to a location that he is unfamiliar with as well. Take a field shot photo of your trophy and you will be able to return for the pack out or if lucky to show where to bring the horses.
SFC Smith - Thank you for your service and have a Merry Christmas.
