The online application period for hunting permits ends Dec. 17th. in Alaska. Don't forget to apply. We still don't have a preference point system in place.

Do you have to put the money up front for the tag or just the app fees?

Just for the application fees. They're very reasonable comparatively. Guides are required for Sheep, Brown/Grizzly bear and Goats and a few S.E. Black bears hunts.
