WY Unit 124

Would unit 124 in WY be a decent archery elk hunt. I'm at max points and considering it, but I don't hear a lot about it. Feel free to PM me.

Elktaco, where are you from? Have you hunted Unit 124?

Great elk in 124, and good hunting. it is fairly open country,of course, which gives some archers pause. Not really a problem if you are a bit more creative. Biggest issue is many of the elk are in CO until their hunt opens. Pressure can move these elk across the border, and if they aren't on your side then your SOL.

UH I have not hunted the unit but a buddy has. Very low draw odds for a reason...........

It is an awesome hunt, would highly recommend it to you. Can be tricky bowhunting with all the open country but you can always rifle hunt it also. Let me know if you would like more information. I am in the unit all the time.

I didn't draw 124 but my buddy did. I think he's going to focus on the rifle hunt, but I'd love to talk with you about it since I'm sure I'll be going too and I don't want to waste days on end trying to get into them.
