Thanks! Yes it is, I have hunted the Mark Twain all my life, it used to be called Clark National Forest. This was my 50th. season in the "deer woods" . I started going with my Dad at age 4, started toting a gun 2 years later.

I had a Great Uncle from West Plains. My Dad & his 1st cousins hunt Mark Twain during rifle every year. They have killed some good bucks over the years. That is some tough hunting, I would love the so called pro whitetail hunters to go in there & see what they could kill. I bet the majority of them couldn"t even kill a doe! Congrats again I know you hunted hard to get that buck!

What? You don't think the pros could get down in those hills, with all the other deer hunters, and knock down a big buck out of thousands of acres of solid timber, with no food plots or big ag fields?!?

    I'll bet you are right.

Congratulations to all the successful hunters, some fine trophies hit the ground last year!

I didn't have that great a year here in michigan deer hunting spent as lot of time out in the field just wasn't my year. How ever my Best buddy pulled off two does and a his first buck in three mornings to fill up his freezer and my dad shot his first deer in 4 years which was exciting. Now hoping to get my brother his first deer next season.
