I have a question about ram points for residents. I have been buying pref points for my son since he turned 12. He has 3 years now but it occurred to me that this might be for a lost cause. If he moves away and becomes a nonresident does he lose those points.

no he wont lose them they will just be more expensive to buy them each year. if you fail to buy points for two consecutive years you lose them all. so the question would be if he still intends to buy after he moves.
