Looking for mule deer unit in nw colorado

I am buying pp for a mule deer unit in colorado, but while i am waiting would like to hunt mule deer every year in nw colorado. Can i purchase an otc tag in a unit in nw colorado or do all the units in nw colorado need pp to draw?? Would like to know about units #2, #3, #4, #5 and #301 and #441?? Has anybody hunted these units??? Thanks

There are no OTC Deer tags in Colorado. Everything is draw.

You need to go to the DOW web site. Tons of information to answer your questions.

Deer tags are much harder to get than elk tags.

There are hunts you can draw with no points or hunt every other year with one point and hunt WY or another state the other year.

There are also units you can draw with a second choice and not burn up your points. Or, buy a landowner voucher every year or so.

You will have to do some looking through the stats to come up with which hunt codes to use. The info is all there but you'll have to invest some time.
