Trespass Fees for North East Wyoming

Can you guys give me some guidlines on what trespass fees for north east Wyoming run. What is average, what is cheap, and what is outrageous? My buddy and our fathers are heading out in 2013 and having secured access to private land without the hassle of public access seems like a good idea.

    Thanks for the help.

What we heard out there last fall was from $800 to $2,000. Makes you want to puke.

Most land out here are leased by outfitters. You can find some landowners that will let you on for free but they are few and far between. Your best bet is to use the wia's and hunt those. A guy can't even hunt his neighbors land anymore. Don't plan on finding a giant unless you pay some money. It is overcrowded with hunters & the antelope are dying & the tags are getting cut drastically. There are some decent ones tagged every year but not from too many public areas.

Sad to say but Wyoming takes good care of outfitters, as a result there are outfitters all over Wyoming and landowners basically see bidding wars driving up prices. In the future its only going to get worse, outfitters are slowing leasing up all the decent private land.

LOL if you think that's bad you should see what land goes for in pike county IL, my uncle leases his 413 acre farm for $110 an acre.
I had found a ranch in NE WY that limits the amount of hunters and charged $500 per person with access to 23,000 acres but after that bad winter kill he cut numbers back so they could recover.

Holy s&%t. Is that a typo? $110 an acre? Add in the 200 bu corn and 60 bu beans that owner gets off of the ag fields, and that is one hell of a return.

Most of the stuff here in Missouri leases for under $20 an acre.

Those numbers are no where close to what I've experienced. You can get a decent trespass fee hunt for $200-$300. $75 or $100 if you want to share 10,000 acres with 50 other guys or $400-$500 if you want to be the only ones on that same amount of ground. I've hunted Unit 23 south of Gillette. 20 hunters annually on 44,000 acres for $400 apiece. See 500-750 antelope per day there. Ridiculous numbers!

Antelope numbers in the NE Wyo area have dropped big time. You use to be able to go out and see 500 a day. Now your lucky to see 100 day where they winter. Tag allocations have been cut back also. Gillette is the place to be if you want a decent goat though. I would look around that area.

I went last year for $100 trespass fee for 5000 acres. Its a special agreement and is certainly not normal. I went with some guys that have been going for over 20 years and the landowners take all the trespass fees and donate to wounded warrior project. Very good people, need more like them. I know a few guys that pay $1500 for 5 days of antelope hunting in a non trophy unit just west of laramie.
