Anybody ever hunt the Elliot Barker WMA? My dad and I drew archery elk tags this year for the area. I know its a walk or horseback in only area with no camping in the area. Any advise would be greatly appreciated

I haven't been in there but I was talking to a buddy the other day, and he said there's some good animals in there. Doesn't that unit border the Valle??

Yea I believe it does. The VV is to the north of the unit.

If, I had that tag I would be hunting the areas that border the Philmont or the V.V.
There are some stock tanks, but not much cover for archery blinds around them. Roads to get there are a little "unpleasant" to drive. No overnight camping.Let me know if you need more info.
