Spring Bear, Anyone Draw?

I just got the SW tag!! This will be my first time bear hunting so I'm pretty stoked!!

Drew Saddle Mt/Scappoose as my second choice. Tryed it a little bit last year and only found sign but no bears. Did get some tips from a couple locals this year so hope to get closer to a bear.

Got a Sled Springs/Chesnimnus tag with 1 point. Live in the area so have been doing a bit of scouting lately. Snow is going off pretty quickly with the weather and have seen one hog of a boar so far...Can't wait for the 15th!!!!!!!!!

I have elk and sheep hunted Chesnim, too many bears there. Go get um!

Amen to that! Seems to be pretty good carry-over on the bulls this year. Of course they're out on the Zumwalt right now so it's easy to see them. Deer have'nt looked good in several years (primarily predation) and now we have wolfs too...!

I noticed there's not alot of deer there, I am considering deer hunting there once or twice though in the near future, even though I saw as many bears as I did nice bucks. I saw a couple good bucks when I was looking for sheep in '11, it would be a hell of a pack out from where they were, but the ones I saw would be worth it. I wish I wasn't 9 hrs away from that country, I don't get to go there enough. I would take up bear hunting if I were closer.

I wasn't fortunate enough to pull a tag for my section of the snake river. I am going to be shooting a camera though as my hunting buddy was still fortunate enough to pull a tag.
