Regarding Kifaru, I strongly suggest you look at the High Camp ahead of the KU5200. The High Camp/ Bikini is more versatile and is made of more durable 500D cordura.

Not yet rock, mid April I believe is the eta.

X3 on highcamp over Ku. It is also very modular with other kifaru product while the Ku series you are limited to what is in the Ku lineup.

Do you think the highcamp is the superior pack to the Kuiu and stone glacier. I have no experience with any other pack besides my BL 4500.

Didn't get my order in today but I think the multicam, I keep looking at the Timberline and thinking how great it would be with a bikini frame, but ill let you know tomorrow. Thanks again for the info and advice.

No doubt on bikini frame. It was explained to me it is 95% of what a duplex timberline is. But this is where the true weight savings comes into play. I have a highcamp on order but i question my judgement of not going with a dt1 or 2. Just more organization.

I'm a small guy and the bikini can probably handle twice of what I can.

I went with the DT1 on the bikini frame. I added a couple of accessories. Now the waiting game until my pack shows up! I haven't received a ship date, but Aron did give me an ETA when I was talking with him on the phone.

I opted to go with the foliage for color. The highlander camo just wasn't worth the extra money to me.

By the time I added the pockets I wanted to the highcamp bag, I was spending more money and had no real weight savings over the DT1. Really, the only thing I would have gotten with the highcamp configured how I had it would have been more cubic inches. I thought the likelihood of a scenario where 8000ci would have been just enough and 7200ci wouldn't cut it was very low. Be that as it may, I can always add pockets or pods to my bag if really necessary.

I did go with a grab-it kit and the gen.2 hanging meat bag.

I hope my pack purchasing days are coming to an end. I said the same thing about my binocular purchasing days recently as well. #confessionsofagearqueen
