Unit 35 Elk

This will be my fist year of elk hunting in the Bighorn Mountains here in WY. I did some fly-fishing way back when outside of Sheridan (had a great time), but never hunted. I was lucky to draw a type 1 elk tag for Unit 35 this fall. Plan on picking up the archery tag and doing some scouting this summer, and bowhunting on a couple of weekends after Sept. 15, but then will hit it hard during rifle season. Any suggestions on where to start my scouting or which areas to focus on? I will become a resident late this month so I can backpack into the wilderness for the hunt.

Would appreciate any help on the area. Also, suggestions for camping and fishing would be appreciated!
