The only problem with those states is they're not out west.

Kentucky would prolly be another good option.

States with no income tax
• South Dakota
States that only tax some investment income:
• New Hampshire
Other states that have both Republican governors and legislatures are realizing that they are losing businesses and economic growth to states with no income tax. So, they're considering lowering or getting rid of their state income tax. Most likely, they'll raise other taxes like sales taxes and property taxes to offset the revenue loss. Other states, like California, have no hope of even thinking like that.
The movement of people and businesses out of CA to WA, OR, AZ, CO, and TX that started many years ago and boosted both real estate prices and liberalism is going to spread as a second wave to UT, ID, MT, and NM. Like it or not, get ready. AK is still too cold and remote for most people.

Southern Louisiana is an option. You can walk around buck naked with a beer in your hand and a gun in the other and it be considered "fitting in".
