    Last minute 2014 hunt?

    First post here,

From the midwest and would like to get out west on an elk hunt this year yet. What is the best way to go about this? Left over tags or OTC?

    Please help a newbie.

    Thanks

OTC, might cost a few pennies but you would be hunting.

Can always get an OTC tag in CO. MT might still have tags. ID has tags but you better hurry, it opens Oct 10!

Idaho has a lot of elk tags still. you could do a fly in hunt in November in the frank church wilderness. Tags where still available a couple of days ago. lots of options if you want them.

Not much different than a CO if you buy both. NR is what $604 for a bull and $353ish for deer for a grand total of $957.....ouch.

True enough but MT is over 600 for just a deer tag and over 800 for just an elk tag.
