I just bought the ss and was impressed. I haven't used it in the wind but it has a hook to add weight. It is so small and light and for the price I felt I could not go wrong.
Lightweight and Monfrotto is always the best for tripods!
lightweight is awesome, except when the tripod head doesn't hold up the spotter.
