    Unit 77 has good access along the Piadre river just west of Chimney rock; we have had good luck there depending on the weather. Hunted archery and second rifle and have gotten into elk both times.

    As far as meat preservation, if you hunt the last week of archery (seems the bulls get fired up later and later to me) weather and meat spoilage shouldnt be a problem. You can hang in the timber and take your time getting it out.

    Well technically fish and game decided they were safer in Colorado because they don't have wolves. Butch read that on the Internet by the way.....so it must be true.
