    Camera in hand



    One of my friends took this picture. I am actually taking video of the bull.

    Thats a pretty cool shot. I love getting so close to elk like that. Just something about it that just gets into the bones...

    My friend had just killed his elk and was taking pictures as he was walking up to it. I was shooting video of him walking up to his bull when I saw this bull down in the timber. I gave a couple of cow calls and he came in on a string.

    I wasn't hunting because I had already taken this bull.

    That's what it's all about. I love getting close to elk. We were out hunting for sheds a couple weekends ago and I could smell the elk that had been in the area that morning. The smell is something you never forget.
