Cheaper to buy new ones than get the soles reworked, so might as well try to preserve them....I'm so tight I buy the Cabela's brand Danners and if I can keep them from hitting the dirt I sleep better at night

Not sure I can agree. I bought a pair of Meindl Perfekt boots 7 years ago. I've worn them everyday, and they're still going strong. I'm only now considering having them resoled. I whined about the $250 price tag at the time, but it turned out to be much cheaper in the long run.

I have a pair of really great Browning boots that I am on the 3rd set of soles. They are great, but they don't make any like them now. The big problem is finding a good shoe/boot repair shop. Not many around anymore.

Lol, it sure wouldn't hurt me to lose some weight, ha ha. I remember when I was a skinnyrascal. Thanks for the welcome. Been here before as fatrooster but my computer wouldn't allow me to log in anymore so I changed my log in. Still I had problems. Found out I am not very computer literate, lol. Finally figured out that the problem was me. fatrascal.

I've found 'me' to be the problem more often than not!

X 2 for sure. When I'm packing out a deer on my back and climbing up a mt I always think about those lucky dudes in New Zealand that just swing down with a net attached to a helicopter and just fly them to camp not to mention the hunter gets a ride too. There's a on going joke with my hunting partners about who has the scratch to rent the chopper for the hunt. Apparently non of us do cause I haven't seen one yet.

That's how folks here get hogs out of the crop fields that they've shot from the chopper. Beats going out in it and trampling things down or letting them lay and the buzzards and coyote creating a crop circle.

Use a chopper here, and the DOW will shoot you down.

Ok, they won't shoot you down, but it is illegal. Big ticket.
