    they'll let you scout though, I thought, if you ground it for a certain length before hunting.

    Yes, you can't hunt the same day, or day after a flight.

    I'm not sure if the DOW considers packing out meat as part of the hunt?

    If I could afford the chopper, paying someone $100-200 to pack it out with their horses wouldn't be all that steep.

    Or he has lots of friends he hunts with and packs out their game and never gets his own tags. Been there done that.

    I'm always the youngest of the group..even if I have tags I'm getting put to work packing out animals for the elderly folks. Out of our group of 6-8, 3 of us are under 60 and 1 of the 3 is a female who takes on the role of supervisor.

    I've got a buddy in Utah with choppers and ultralights, 3 crash landings while on scouting trips from running out of fuel. Going up and scouting with him is an invitation I always decline.
