You fellas need to start running gas heaters. It's cleaner for the environment, requires less energy and all that good jazz.

LOL negative packmule! If I bring a dead tree home and burn it it does not pollute anymore then if it rotted to nothing over many years, it just speeds up the process, and I do use gas.....in my chainsaw to cut the firewood

It's still not clean burning natural gas. What better way to stick it to the Dems than to help fascilitate the need more drilling and fracking.

I think I would go broke paying for gas or propane this year. Over 4.00 a gallon for propane, brother in law filled his tank twice already, cost him about 1500.00 last time. Boy that would suck!

Cost is most of why I use wood heat and it still works when the electricity goes out! I have electric too but I try not to use it very much.

Wow CC that's not bad! I also have floor heat with electric boiler, put in a free standing wood stove this fall. And glad I did, its been the coldest winter I ever remember, helped a whole lot on my heat bill. People are saying that there is a shortage of propane here that's why it's so high, but I talked to a guy from the coop who delivers propane and he said they can get what ever they want. Go figure just another excuse!
