Youth (13 yr old) looking for Elk 2014

I live in GA. I want to take my son on a OTC hunt with an outfitter. I prefer horses. Really want a quality Outfitter that is reasonably priced. I want to observe. We invited another 14 yr old that his father passed away, so possibly two youths. They are athletic boys with hunting experience and willing to rough it if needed. A cabin hunt or pack in is acceptable. Not looking for an ATV deal. Please give me ideas of a quality guy. Thanks so much in advance. I can also do some trading as I have incredible GA white tail property.

I would set your sights for 2015, gives you a full year to research and find what you are looking for. Otherwise you are banking on someone have a cancelled hunt with transferable tags which is pretty tough to find.

I agree- 2015 would be your best bet. I know there are some outfitters that offer youth discounts so spend some time researching. Good luck.

A cancellation hunt would your best bet this year. Next year would be better . If 2014 is your only option you better get busy Colorado parks and wildlife better be your first call then some Internet research on outfiters. Follow all this with a list of gear people here can help with this. Taking kids may open some doors as well. Good luck!!!

It will be tough to do this late in the game! I agree I would work on a really good 2015 hunt rather than taking a second best hunt here in 2014.
