Thanks Musket. The stats on the CDOW site break it down by GMU and do not have trophy info, but there is a lot of good estimated harvest info.

    I appreciate the reply.

I would take a look at the Colorado MRS in Eastmans. They break down which counties are producing B&C heads.

You can quit your looking. It has to be Moffatt county that produces the most trophy quality BIG bulls. There might have been other counties that had the biggest bull but the most is definetly Moffatt.

I would say Mesa or Montrose county just because of the number of tags given out in units 40 and 61. Just my 2cents.

One thing to keep in mind about the harvest stastics that show up on the Parks & Wildlife site is that they are estimates only. There is no mandatory reporting and the surveys that they use are only given to a percentage of hunters...not all hunters. In the last 13 years that I have lived here, I can only remember receiving a survey 2 or 3 times (via an automated phone call).I'm sure they use date from Wardens and other sources, but my take is it is pretty spotty on how accurate it is.

Douglas and Las Animas lead the way. Not so sure about Moffat although some nice bulls come out of the northwest units.
