Ultimate Pig in velvet - Monster Oregon Mule deer

This is a town buck so no one should be scheduling hunts after this buck, but the genetics are out of this world. It shows the potential in Oregon if only management were different.
I am reposting pictures from the local Bend paper, Nosler apparently is saying that the first pic was taken on their property, that I discovered from a thread on ifish. http://www.ifish.net/board/showthrea...92#post4652592

I guess when it all said and done he is close to 260. Maybe a 40" outside spread, and a 30" inside spread. thoughts?

    Enjoy

BTW there are a few more pics of this deer in the ifish thread. Check it out.

Crazy to think I live only a few miles from a buck of that caliber. The biggest bucks I've seen in the last 10 years have all been in Bend city limits. I have a friend who saw a giant buck, not as big as this one but similar, on public land about 10 miles outside of Bend last November. I've also heard of a few caught on trail cams that sound similar to it too. The genetics are there, the big public land bucks or usually not seen unless by trail cam or during the rut. Seeing a buck even close to this one on public land one is very, very rare. But I believe there are a few still roaming around.
