    Red face Maine Buck

Shot this deer fall of 2011. In some states his rack wouldn't be considered big, but in Maine he's a cocka'. I don't think I'll ever forget this hunt. weighed 210 field dressed, grossed 148 1/8", net 142 1/8". Click image for larger version.

Great buck! And pretty big body too. What's a "Cocka"? Main slang for a Monster?

NICE! Never heard of a cocka'. But I bet it means the same thing as "SADD DADDY", that's what we call the big ones around here. Don't ask me where it started but it stuck. That's a great deer anywhere in the whitetail world.

Sweet deer, I love how heavy the main beams are. How wide was he?

Thanks guys Outside spread is 25". He definitely was wide and heavy. If he'd had any real height, then holy cow. But, as it is and was, I couldn't have been any happier. For me he was the most beautiful animal I had ever seen!
