    Garmin Oregon 450t vs 550t vs 650t

I was looking at these models because cabelas has the 450t and 550t on sale. It looks like the only really difference is the 550 has a camera and 450 does not and the 650 camera is better than the 550 and 650 can store more points. Any other real differences? Anyone have experience comparing the different models?

I am looking to get it for a mule deer trip in Wyoming this October.

I got a 450t around christmas when they were having a big sale on them but I havent used it yet so I wont know much about it untill october. All I was looking for was a gps I could put a map chip in.

I have the 450 and the 450t. I really like them both and have no need for a camera on my gps or additional waypoint storage to justify the added cost. Truthfully I'd just get another 450 if I was in the market but when I bought the 450t it was on sale cheaper then the 450.

I haven't used either the 550 or 650, but I haven't felt I needed anything else and I've used mine from Maine to Colorado and south to Mississippi.

My 450 with the map chip chews through batteries really fast. My only complaint. Other than that. It's awesome

Camera is the difference in the 450t and 550t. The 650 t has an 8mp camera with a flash instead of the 5mp on the 550t. It also connects to the glonoss satellites so you will have better reception. This feature can be turned off so it only connects to GPS, the reason this is useful is to save battery life (if what I have been told is true.) the touchscreen is the biggest improvement (IMO) because it is so much better on the 650t than the 550t. If you use the 650t you will not want to use the 550t again. The 650t also will come with rechargeable nihi batteries. the 650 can also be used in conjunction with the heart rate monitor and the Tempe temperature sensor.
