    Tule Elk success

Well here is the tule that I was able to harvest yesterday. He is not the one that I have been scouting and might not score as well from Symatry but when I saw him I knew I wanted him. He has a lot of pallmation that u can't see in this angle. DIY

It all starts when u get the tag. I'm about the 14th person ever to have this tag. It's called Eastpark bull elk hunt after the resivor that I was able to hunt on for four days. I shot this bull on the first day of the hunt. I had my brother and my friend who is also my taxidermist. I originally had another bull in mind that probably would have scored better do to Symatry. My brother being the trigger happy hunter he is thought I should have shot the second bull we saw. Ended up clearing about a dozen bulls before I saw this one. We were actually following another giant when we saw this one in the dried up lake flat. I said I wanted him even though broken. We waited about 40 min for him and his five cows to work his way above the high water mark. I started getting nervous when his first cow made her way up the draw when my taxidermist said to calm down he is on his way. About five bugles later I could see his horns walking as planned. Finally an opening and I fired the 50 cal smoke pole and down he went at 80yrds. My brother missed the actual shot as he was videoing the hunt. It ended up being a hundred degrees yesterday so we had to Hury up. It was an awesome hunt as all the bulls were very vocal and aggressive, many bulls were broken and I even saw another bull hit one full speed and start fighting hard. At only 50 yrds away it was something. They looked like they can move faster than a deer. DIY
