    "Hat trick camp"

********Full story several posts below with pics!******

So I took my nine year old on my DIY elk hunt this year. I have been bow hunting elk for several years now. Last year was my first elk on the ground, as you may recall a cow. The year prior some Eastman's forum members who I would call friends today, came and one of them landed a bull.

This year was my year!!!! A nice Idaho bull hit the deck Tuesday afternoon with my son there to be a part of it! He was an awesome hunt partner. Even though I had to get stern with him about being quiet while we moved, he went into overdrive of try his hardest when the bull showed up. He remembered everything I taught him in camp during our practice hunts near the tent. He called on my que, and was instrumental in turning this guy for a dead ringer shot at 34 yards.

I am getting this guy mounted at Imperial Taxidermy here in Idaho. Cant wait to get this guy back!

That is the greatest. I love how kids can bugle so effortlessly. sometimes all they need is a pc of rubber hose.

I have no idea how I am going to stay at work until 19th with photos being posted.
