    Northern California Blacktail

    26 inch spread. Dressed at 162..This was taken on public land at about the 7000 foot level. Didn't hurt any meat, shot him right in the throat cutting the jugular!.....Now I am waiting to fill my M8 muzzle loader tag at the end of October. This will be the first duck opener I havent made in over 30 years But I am hoping for one bigger than this one!!!!!

    that is a beautiful buck!

    He looks soo much like the one I tried to take during archery season.....were you by chance near a Wilderness area?
