Your buddy shoots a small 3 point and is over took with the feeling we all get after great shot and the animal is down, but in all the rush of the events he did'nt even notice the large 5x5 buck that jumped up after the shot, would you tell him about it or enjoy his glory with him and try not to spoil the moment?

If I didnt know them real well I might not saw anything about it but if it was a real good friend they would never hear the end of it! I would get a good few years of giving them a bad time out of something like that

If I also had a tag I might dump the 5x5 if he was good enough and then REALLY rub it in. What are friends for anyways !!!!

Depends how long you have been friends for. But if it was me, I would problem spill the fact after you get home. Let him have the moment.

This happen to me last year. A buddy had a PIW deer tag for Nv. He hunted for months looking for a 200" buck. The last day at last shooting light we where about 500 yards apart looking for a deer, any deer at that point. I spot a 175" buck and call him on the phone. Just as I push the "call" button I hear a shot. He answers.... I got one. He's only a 150" buck but that's all we could find and I didn't want to waste my tag. I almost said what I had found but didn't. He was happy so I was happy for him.

I'd have to tell them and proceed to grilling. Its what friends are for, being there to help out no matter what and ribbing you tell your 6' under.

That would depend completely on the friend. Some I would realy "roast", others I wouldn't. Some of my buds have personalities that welcome it, others not so much.

I always like knowing things that others don't know. It can be a good thing for them too.

I don't think my buddies would believe me as much as I jack with them! They would swear I was lying!
