    Late season cow hunts

Hunted for the last couple of years in area 96 but it has been pretty tough sledding for me. Poor timing of snow to push elk down and the season ending in mid November haven't really been kind to me. I live in Rock Springs and I'm a teacher/coach so it's hard to get a lot of time off during the normal seasons but something over Thanksgiving or Christmas break would work out really well. I have been looking at some of the units over by Kemmer and up toward Star Valley but would like some input. I'm looking for a meat hunt as I just want to put a cow in the freezer and my daughter turns 12 in a year so I want to learn the area so I could take her when she is old enough. If you don't want to put info up here please PM me.

I hunted in 102 a couple of years ago. We saw plenty of cows during the week. With some snow, I wouldn't think it would be too hard to catch up with a herd of cows.

I put down another cow in those said units last week!! -15* and sunny made for some good glassing, found them about 2 miles from the truck on BLM Wilderness. Got into position and thumped her square in the chest @ 500yds and she tumbled to the bottom of mile deep canyon.
