My friend had just killed his elk and was taking pictures as he was walking up to it. I was shooting video of him walking up to his bull when I saw this bull down in the timber. I gave a couple of cow calls and he came in on a string.

I wasn't hunting because I had already taken this bull.

That's what it's all about. I love getting close to elk. We were out hunting for sheds a couple weekends ago and I could smell the elk that had been in the area that morning. The smell is something you never forget.
