Interesting. I would think that when discussing trophy elk states, New Mexico would be in the conversation.. And, Nevada too..
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

Yeah, how in the world do you forget Nevada and New Mexico which are both definitely in the top 4.

I thought it was a pretty good read, even though it was pretty short. It was surprising that he left out New Mexico.

Very interesting leaving out New Mexico and Nevada, but giving high praise to Colorado which is known for massive slaughter of small raghorns, except in hard to draw units...Whereas I know of a large number of bulls between 360-400 taken in general tag units here in WY this year...But that being said every person you ask is going to have a different selection of the top six for the most part. But being a Idaho native, I have a hard time agreeing Idaho over new mexico and nevada in terms of number of BIG bulls that are taken each year..The name of the article says "Best state for a monster bull", yet for both colorado and Idaho it seems he makes his choice based on the fact you can just have a good hunt there with lots of elk or public land... I think he got a little off his topic when he started writing...

No Nevada? He's obviously never hunted there before...
