    Newbie

Newbie here. I have been a subscriber to Eastmans Hunting and Bowhunting journal since thier beginning. Just now ran across this site, hopefully in can help in the future when it comes time to cash in on my Wyoming PP's. I'm from Eastern Oregon and will be glad to help with information on hunting my area of the state.

Welcome halfslam! There are some good people on this site, I'm sure you will get some good advise on what to do in Wy. I don't have any for you since I have never hunted Wy, but can you still help me out in Or? Man I struggle like hell to find good deer hunting in our state...

Welcome, how many points do you have? Are you just interested in hunting mule deer in Wyoming?

Welcome Halfslam, I've hunted Wyoming for about 15 years. It is a great state!

That is an understatement to say the least. To many predators, tree huggers and an incompetent ODFW.

ssliger, I've got 11 Moose points, 4 antelope and 11 Sheep points. I don't have any deer points and like a dumbie I could have combined that with an antelope hunt. Getting close to being able to draw a good unit for Moose. It better be pretty soon because the hills are getting steeper and the packs heavier!

Make sure you are up on the current trends for moose. I hear of people drawing tags that used to be great before the reintroduction of wolves and blow all their points on a sub par unit. The best units are the Bighorns and the Snowy Range since they don't have the predator problems. As for deer, are you wanting to hunt the high country or do you just want to hunt deer. If you just want to hunt deer I would apply for region W. You have a decent chance to draw it with 0 points. If you want more info PM me.
