My first mule deer, got him when I was 13. Up there with my best hunts ever! Just my dad and me in the mountains for 6 days.

I do rattle and have taken some of my best bucks doing that.I use the large rattle bag by H.S Strutt and it really does a great job. Its just wood dowels inside os a camo bag. I do alot of rattling just before the rut kicks in, that is about the last week of Oct. and the first week in November and they are charged up!! Love rattling!!

Nice buck. Its good to see younger hunters out there. Some day you will be able to carry the tradition to your children.

No story to go with the pic?

Great job! I hate to admit I'm kinda jealous. For your first deer that's a giant.
