Bear tags

Has anyone heard for sure or not if the decision was made on bear tags? There has been alot of talk about there were going to be about 20 tags issued for the 196 area close to the Cal and Nv line across from Cabelas.

I guess I can now answer my own post. There will be a black bear hunt this year for sure. As for the future for this hunt is up for debate. There has been a huge amount of neg feedback about this hunt from hunters as well as non hunters. This is going to be a archery hunt and dog are allowed, no baiting. The bioligest for this hunt area has done a huge amount of work to make this happen bit he seems to be under fire about the accual nber of bears that are in the area and if this hunt will take care of the problum of bears in the Lake Tahoe residential areas. There will be 20 tags up for grabs. Hope I draw one.
