I think I'm starting to figure this bow thing out but I have another question. When adjusting draw weight my manual says one turn equals 3 pounds. I assume that meens if I turn the top one turn and the bottom one turn that counts a two turns?

You must match the top and bottom. One turn assume you turn both, one turn.

I know the top and bottom have to match. So 1 turn = 3 lbs according to the book and that is the total of the top and bottom movement?
Yes.
If you turn the top, also turn the bottom. Keeps it timed correctly, as well as equal tension on the limb.
Remember the tip I gave you about loosening the limb pocket screw before adjusting the limb tension. If you dont, you will be buying new limbs. I forgot and split my top limb on my Bowtech Blackice. My shop was really cool about it though and got it warrantee replaced for me anyway. Could have been really spendy mistake though.

My bow doesn't have a limb pocket screw. I see it listed in the manual for some models but mine just has the one limb screw and an inspection hole.

If your limb pockets look like this, then the screw where I am pointing is the one to loosen.
What bow did you get again?

I got the Assassin. The manual shows the pic like yours for the specialist and destroyers and the invasion, heartbreaker and my bow are different. http://www.bowtecharchery.com/admin/...nersmanual.pdf
Remember that the resin and laminate materials are all different specification and the temperature set on each limb will effect the poundage on the limbs when cured... The 3lbs per turn is a generalization, so if you are trying to hit exact numbers, use a scale to be sure...
Thanks, I cranked it down a bit but didn't notice enough difference overall to make me want to keep it that way so I think I will just put it back where it was and leave it. I think I was messing with it for the sake of curiosity any way.
I do see the difference. Those limb bolt setups seem so much more simple on the whole design.
