Here in Minnesota, our moose herd has declined so badly that there will be no season for 2014. Our deer herd is at a 20-30 year low. A lot of the deer population problem is because of mismanagement by our dnr, by issuing far too many antlerless tags. But you know what gets me is that our state biologists and officials have never once suggested that the wolf may be a factor in decreasing herds. We've got at least 3000 wolves here, and they want to blame ticks and global warming for the moose decline. Our problem, fellow hunters, is not wolves, it's people. We need to get the right people into the positions to make sound ecological decisions.
Live to hunt, hunt to live.

There are things I disagree with. First these wolves were INTRODUCED not reintroduced. These wolves were NEVER native here. The native wolves were much smaller (not alot bigger then a coyote) and not nearly as aggressive or destructive. Second the introduction was not based on science. Infact studys came back that introducing them was a bad idea, other wildlife and domestic livestock would be greatly effected, and several biologists told everyone what has happened is exactly what would happen. Third the introduction was completely illegal. Congress didnt approve the introduction and denied funding. A few people at the top of USFWS went behind everyones back and stole the money to fund it from the Pittman Robertson fund. No one even knew these wolves were coming until after they were turned loose. They didnt even have proper paperwork to bring them across the Canadian border and there is actually no record of them crossing into this country. The whole thing was fraud from the start and the wolf is a tool they are trying to use to end hunting and ranching in the west.

Lobby states to put them on the exotic list as a non-native species with no limit, season or illegal means of hunting them.

We already do that but we refer to it as SSS! or SIDKN (shoot I dont know nothing)! Truthfully if you kill a wolf 'illegally' and get 'caught' you will most likely get a slap on the wrist. The states have been pretty much looking the other way the whole time and that is alot of why the wolf problem isnt much worse then it is.

The Southern method would likely get more than a slap. We have perfected night time massacres.

Well, it's in the name of hog eradication so anything goes. Seems to be the requirement to get rid of unwanted animals.
