    Colorado residents i need help

I am wanting to do a 4th season elk hunt. Is the whole state draw for the fourth season? I want to do a hunt around steamboat springs area. If anyone is willing to help out I would appreciate it.

    Thanks.

Muzz, the only over the counter bull tags are issued for the second and third season. Fourth season is a draw only season. As far as hunting around Steamboat, I have not personally hunted that area but I have heard it can be a great area. I do know that depending on the weather it can push the elk low into the valleys in that area. Hope this helps!

I know some guys that go hunt over there. They tell me it can be great if you catch the migration, you will see a lot of elk if the weather cooperates. If it doesn't get cold and snow enough the hunt can be tough. They also say if you don't get away from roads you will see an orange army every where.

Are you looking at a bull tag or are you willing to do a cow hunt the first year and learn the area.
