    Colorado mule deer

I am totally new to Colorado, I have hunted wyoming a few times now and looking to build up some points before going back but what I'm looking for here is if anyone could point me in the right direction or give any info on a few areas that can be drawn for muleys in Colorado that has some accessible public land without any points? We will be doing this 100% DIY and we are coming all the way from ohio with only about a week to hunt so we don't want to get into any real real nasty country! Any input or direction would be greatly appreciated trying to decide where to go can be very overwhelming when we've never set foot in the state!

I think what you are looking for will be hard to find. Most rifle seasons with decent access and hunting will take points to draw. There might be some but scouting and knowing the area would be very helpful in them. There are probably some good PLO (private land only) tags you could draw but then you would have to find access to private land. If you hunted archery or muzzleloader there would be alot more areas you could draw with no points.

    I would investigate unit 444 or 41.

I am new to the forum. I love to hunt elk with a bow but do rifle hunting as well. How is the access in unit 444. A couple of years ago my hunting buddy and I drew elk tags in unit 20. There was a lot of public but most of the elk were on private ranches. Had a tough time finding them on public. I killed a decent 6 point on the last day and felt really lucky. I am interested in 444 for the fourth season deer hunt but don't know much about it. Would like to know more.
