    Bobcat scent or lure

I was out in the woods the other day and saw some tracks that I think are bobcat. We have never had them on our land before that I have seen. I was wondering if anyone knew of a scent or lure I could put on a tree to get some trail camera pictures of them. I know trappers use like a gel for a scent/lure in their trade, but I am not familiar with the stuff. Thanks.

Several trappers have mentioned mark Junes silent stalker. I think it is a cat gland lure
I've tried it but only lured in possums and raccoons.
Maybe you'll get a pic if you try it and a cat is around

Yeah try some gland lure, and maybe even a little bit of flagging. They rely on their eyes a lot. Maybe even put some steel in the ground and get some good pics of him!

Cut you a small cedar sapling spray it down with bobcat urine. Put it out in front of your camera. Tie a feather up on a string about 3 ft off the ground close by. The feather will get the cat's attention. They are more visual hunters, they can not smell real good. When he comes closer to investigate the feather, he will smell the urine. He will then back-up & pee on the sapling. (Bobcats pee backwards) Then you got your pics! Let us know how it works out.

    Good Luck!

Ok, thanks, I will try one of these. It actually peed on a pine tree I have my stand in along a food plot. The season in Wisconsin has always been for the northern part of the state. However next year it is open state wide and with a lot of luck maybe I can get a crack at it.

Calvin Klein’s “Obsession for Men” lures big cats into remote camera range. No joke. http://cougarrewilding.org/CougarNews/?p=1952
