    Yosemite National Park - California

Here are a few pictures of good old California's Yosemite National Park. Took a hike up to Half Dome last summer with the girlfriend.

twp1224, Thanks for sharing the pictures of Yosemite. I've never been there but its on my bucket list to go. Last year we took a family trip to northern CA and visited the redwoods along the coast. It was one of the prettiest places I've been. I couldn't believe the amount of elk along the coast up by crescent city.

Great pics, thanks for sharing! How difficult did you find the cables section of the hike? I have been looking into doing that one, but it will mostly likely not go off this summer for me.

I did the Fairy Loop, the Virgin, and Angel's Landing last year in a 3 day period in Bryce/Zion and while there were some difficult spots, I'd just consider those a good challenge and not super difficult.

To be honest, I'm not one for heights and the last ascend up those cables was tough. It's wasn't physically challenging, but mentally, for me, it was tough. There was a father taking his two young children, 5 and 7ish, up the cables when I was there. I figured if they could do it, I couldn't wuss out It was a long day. We started at sun up and didn't make it back to the truck until dark. If I were to do it again I would camp 2/3 the way there and start fresh in the morning. A lot of people were doing that. The views and terrain are awesome.
