This is a heck of a list! Thank you for sharing. I will be doing a backpack hunt the 1st of October for the first time for elk this fall. I have taken a couple of scouting trips to test out my gear and narrow down what I need from what I think I need. Our lists match up pretty close but I noticed you didn't list your meals out. What do you take in for say a 5 day trip?

Last year I was right at 3000 calories for about 1.7 lbs. This year I will be more like 3600 calories at 1.9 lbs a day. I will post the break down and this years packlist for you in the next day or two. Putting everything together this week and heading out on the 10th of Sept.

Kneebrace is out this year and didnt use it last year. Knee is in great shape I have been working on it for the past two years. I will bring a roll of Ace Bandage just in case. It is much lighter.
