Not many mountain bike trails on the east side. Did a short 4 miler at a state park yesterday. It was just "ok".
I'm an extremist and love the trail systems out west! (jealous in Ohio)

i will admit i am pretty lucky. I got singletrack close to the house, big mountain forest service loops out the door, and a lift assisted bike park, 30 minutes away.
saturday was a 28 mile forest service road ride, with 4,000 feet of climbing, and sunday i got 50 miles and 24,000 vert of downhilling in.
The funny part about idaho, is no one knows about us, and we got the goods.

I am on a scott genius 720 right now. I ran a pugsley thru the winter and also use a cycle cross bike in the spring before the trails thaw out. a quiver in other words. My hunting bike has a set up for the trailer, to many bikes not enough time.

lol. Nice. That's how I am with bow equipment. I'd like to find a really nice MTBike, but wife+3kids you have to pick your battles - I hunt. :-) Be cool to come ride those trails with you! Sound awesome.

I have a GT Avalanche hard tail that I really like. I mounted a rear rack and it works out great. Its not too heavy and the gear ratios are perfect for hunting and riding in the mountain trails. I bought mine used from a swat meet for about $200.00. I think new they run about $400-$500.00. The front shocks work great and so far have had no problems with it. I would like to get a small trailer for it in case I need to haul out a buck or two. So far just been using it for scouting and setting up trail cameras on rough 4x4 roads and trails.
