How are the Kuiu for making stalks when you start belly crawling? Cover protect the binoculars good and they don't come off?

I think they did well, stay close to the body so there is no interference there. The cover overall does a good job of keeping debris out, but it does seem when I get home I am pulling some grass out of the pouch. I assume that comes from grass getting caught between me and the harness.
There are tensions straps to keep the lid on the binos so it will not come open when crawling through the brush.

The FHF is also all webbing, so it rides well.

You may want to check out Alaska Guide Creations. He is making a smaller size now that may not be on his web site yet. The smaller size does not have as many pockets on it. It is a fully enclosed harness.

This is a great thread. Thanks to everyone who is posting on it. I need to pick up a harness and it seems this is another case of getting what you pay for. The S4 will probably do the trick, for now, but will stretch out in a few years, verses purchasing the ones 2x the cost but not needing to worry about it for a decade.

+1. I have had trouble with mine flinging open while slouching and crawling. The magnetic closing system needs some rethinking

This is a great thread. Nothing cuts down the moral when hiking around like being uncomfortable. I think I'm going with kuiu harness. Thanks for all your contribution

+1 for the FHF harness. Rides great and protects binos very well. Easy for me to get binos in and out of pouch also.

That reminds me.....if you get the Kuiu harness make sure you get the right size for your binos. I have the cabela's euro HD in 10x42 and even though they fit in the small harness, they get a little hung up on the edges by the straps. They have real small strap openings on the binos so the straps don't fit all the way down like designed. With that all said, I can still get them out one handed now that I know what I'm doing. Just a thought.....
