    Grand Mesa or Chimney Rock

    Having procrastinated to the last moment, I am going to put in for a deer tag in either the Grand Mesa or Chimney Rock areas. Any thoughts, recommendations, etc.? Thanks.

    I have 5 points and am open on units and seasons. I have hunted the area around the Piedra River a number of times and am familiar with the area (77, 78, 771), but it has been a while since I hunted CO

    I think the deer would like for me to hunt with a bow, but that is not my choice. ML or handgun.

    LOL I think they would like me to hunt with a bow too! Im not familiar with the areas you mentioned but there are some good ML hunts you can draw with 5 points!

    I would go to chimney rock...there are some really good bucks around there.

    I agree with Granby guy! I would do the Chimney Rock area! I have seen some great deer there!
