    I too was also wondering how he packed the ice chest in the pack.

    I like the idea of separating food into days. My normal hunts are out of my toy hauler as a base camp and then bivy out a day or two when needed.

    Looks like a Nikon ed 50, not sure on the tripod.

    I can for a 3 day but not sure for a 5. also would make a big differance on the time of year too.

    I've been at 27 for a November high country elk weekend. I'm pretty sure I could get low 30s for 5 days all in , mid October and earlier high country

    There is not a doubt in my mind you could under 30 with all the granola and trail mix you eat on backpacking trips....

    No granola it trail mix jerky , walnuts , dried cherries , coconut butter or almond butter ....maybe dehydrated sweet potato or eggs .... If I'm feeling like luxury add cheese and summer sausage ...
