    haha, those are some nice, classic guns! i have a hard time retiring my .270, needs some work done on it. same original barrel stock and action. still shoots better than any gun ive ever fired, mostly because ive shot it since i was 12. i still have the old scope that came with gun but had to change it out with a modern scope

    If your having trouble spending your money I can always help ya find guns to spend it on Alot of why I dont get a new gun is I dont want to retire the 270! It always gets the job done and I cant see how a new gun would do it any better.

    well, i think im going to get another .270...... brother just sold his to get a .280 short mag and he has 250 hand loads loaded up for the .270, 130 150 and 160g loads hes gonna sell me for $100. so may aswell get another .270 and ill let wife shoot the 130g rounds. ill let ya know what i end up with, not really wanting to dump a ton of money into this gun but still looking for quality.

    shocked myself and picked up a savage/stevens .243 didn't realize there was such a shortage on .243 shells

    I just bought my wife a youth model 7mm-08. We really like it so far but don't have any hunting experience with it. This fall will be her first elk hunt so we will give a great test. Recoil is more than the .243 she has been shooting but considerably less than my 30-06 or .270. I am still trying to decide what loads to use... Narrowed it down to 140 grain Accubonds or 120 grain TTSX. Gun likes both...

    Talk about getting a cart so you have to get a horse for it

    Walmart had some 243's a few days ago!
