Not trying to make anyone feel bad, but my buddy had a Vortex Viper 4x16x50 scope with wire cross hairs which snapped after about 200 rounds from a 308 semi auto rifle. Bass Pro shops replaced the scope with a new one, with etched cross hairs and has had no problems since. So guess Bass Pro has a good return warranty too.

I have been hunting with Leupold scopes for thirty years and never had any problems with them. They are very clear and can take a beating! Burris and Redfield would be my second choice, since I have them on my lower end rifles and have had no problems with them either.

Vortex. No questions asked warranty. Best glass I've ever owned. In everything from bino/spotters/scopes

Nikon because of crappy customer service. I would challenge anyone to find a person that had anything but praise for leupolds customer service or warranty on their scopes.
I was the same way until I bought a Vortex Viper HST, I'm here to say that in the future some of my rifles will get fitted with Vortex!

No worries! It served me well. Just want to reach out a bit further. I'm thinking the 16x hst should do the trick.
