    111 Archery Elk

Just when I thought I couldn't get any luckier after drawing my Utah LE archery elk tag last year with just 3 NR points, I go and pull a 111 archery elk tag Must be doing something right I guess! ha

I've spent quite a bit of time in the 114 and 115 areas of this unit and I have seen some BIG bulls, but haven't spent any time in 111-113. To the guys who have experience in the entire unit, would you recommend spending more time scouting in 114 & 115, or would you focus more on the other side of the valley in 111-113? On NDOW it says that the majority of the bulls are killed in 111. I'm not too worried about having problems with other hunters since not many people drew this tag, but the farther I can get away from the crowds, the better.

Planning on scouting a lot come mid-june so just getting an idea of where I should spent a majority of my time!

I killed my bull in 111. Saw lots of bulls just by glassing from off the main roads on the east sides. Cleve Creek North to McCoy creek is where we saw the most.

Congrats on the tag hubba!!! Regardless of what other units might have its hard to beat an area you know well and have seen good bulls in.

I got a feeling my good luck streak will come to an end after this year. At least for a few years... There is always that sheep tag tho I had 7 points this year nvarcher. You'll get it next year hopefully!
