I have worn mine during rifle hunts in the past. Not sure I could shoot my bow with it though. I wear a cowboy hat a lot but then again I am a cowboy

I am very fortunate to live in a great area. I am very happy with him as my first bull elk. I have not put a tape on him but would guess him just under 350" gross.

I've kind of had a bit of a backlash against wearing logo stuff so I'm shying away from a lot of the ball caps. I've decided If I am going to wear a hat, I'm gonna wear one with a purpose. In the summer, a straw hat for shade. Fall, A felt hat. Running, a wicking ballcap. Archery season, a ball cap.
Winter a Stormy Kromer knock-off railroad cap with flaps.

    Whatever fits the situation.

This is by far my new favorite thread. Just for all the cowboy hat pictures!
Okay, annnnyways... Yes, I have worn one hunting a few times. Always been felt and yes, at times my head is hot but when I'm sneakily stalking up on whatever I'm hunting, I tend to not even notice. My mind is elsewhere. Or maybe my small brain had already cooked, who knows. You learn to adjust. And I always know that if I'm going to shoot my bow with one on, I have to knock the front of it up a bit. But I have to do that with ballcaps too.

A Fedora seems like it might be just what you're looking for. I don't know if you can find one in camo though.
